Making A Claim

A claim can only be made for natural cause of death if your policy has been active for 6 months and 6 months premiums have been paid. However, if the death occurs due to an accident, a claim can be made immediately after your cover start date.

When Do I Claim?

You can claim for a natural death if your scheme has been active for six months. However, if death occurs due to an accident, you can claim immediately after your scheme has been activated.

How Do I Claim?

If someone covered on the scheme passes away, you and/or your appointed administrator must go to any Uniturtle Depots or call +260 211 847175, +260 211 846066 or fill out online claim form.

How Long Does It Take for A Claim to Be Paid?

All valid claims are paid within a few hours after all the required claim documents have been submitted. The following documents MUST be submitted during the claim process, BEFORE THE BURIAL:

  • Fully completed claim form, COPY or picture of NRC of deceased
  • Certified copy of the death certificate
  • Certified copy of the proof of identity of the Main Member or Beneficiary and Deceased.
  • Police report (if death was due to an accident)
  • Proof of relationship to policy main member
